Jon Jones Interested In Francis Ngannou Fight
The light-heavyweight GOAT is focusing his attention on perhaps the most dangerous heavyweight KO artist in present-day MMA. The dialogue initially began when Bones began offering up his thoughts on OSP vs Ben Rothwell. Jones was watching his past adversary Saint Preux make the jump up from 205. The description he gave was that seeing OSP at heavyweight “made it seem so much more real for me.” The Predator would respond to Jones’ tweet with this quote: “How real it seemed to you my friend?! #UFCJAX”.
The following Twitter exchange would then take place:
Seemed so real Francis, all that power means nothing when your hay makers are too slow. I’m not most my friend https://t.co/co6uSqzRSm

This obviously resulted in a social media firestorm with fans interacting with Jones in droves. Bones was responding, fanning the flames, and having some fun with it all.
Jon Jones Interested In Francis Ngannou
The UFC light-heavyweight champion was active on social media yesterday during UFC Fight Night 171. But the exemplary 205 lb-er has been fairly active today as well. Jones tweeted out the following earlier today: “Who would you guys consider the quicker and more technical striker Thiago Santos or Francis? If you guys think I wouldn’t take this fight you’re insane. I have absolutely nothing else to prove as a light heavyweight. I’d love that big money fight right around now. Send the deal”
Fans and pundits have long clamored for Jon Jones to eventually make a foray into the heavyweight division. Bones still ahs some options at light-heavyweight (Jan Blachowicz or rematches with Dominick Reyes or Thiago Santos). But he seems to be closing in on cleaning out the division and a new challenge will need to pop up. Ngannou is in a curious position where he waits in frustration as negotiations are ongoing for a Cormier vs Miocic trilogy bout while he sits on his hands as the rightful number one contender in the division.
Perhaps a fight with someone many perceive as the greatest mixed martial artist of all time will capture his intrigue. Who do you think gets it done in a hypothetical fight between Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou?
