Jon Jones Responds To Corey Anderson’s ‘Crack Smoke’ Dig

Jon Jones isn’t amused by Corey Anderson’s recent verbal jab.

Jones is the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion. He captured the gold back in Dec. 2018. He stopped Alexander Gustafsson via TKO in their rematch at UFC 232. This was the start to his second run as the UFC light heavyweight champion, not including his interim title reign. “Bones” has successfully defended his title against Anthony Smith and Thiago Santos. Now, Anderson is trying to get a title opportunity.

Anderson said he wants “all the smoke” when it comes to fighting Jones, even the “crack smoke.” Jones addressed the comment on his Twitter account:

“Breaking news: Cory Anderson verbally attacks Jon Jones about his past.

Why does these guys have to talk smack before taking their L? And then after the fight I go on with good sportsmanship and say nice things about them. It’s getting old.”

Jones continued:

“I get it, just wish these boys would let their skills speak for them. For these guys to be considered some of the toughest men/athletes in the world, most of them act like little b*tches. Always with the bark and very little bite.”

Anderson is riding a three-fight winning streak. He’s beaten Ilir Latifi, Glover Teixeira, and Patrick Cummins in his current span. Anderson hasn’t suffered a loss since Nov. 2017. He is currently the eighth-ranked UFC light heavyweight.

As for Jones, he hasn’t been defeated since Dec. 2009. Even so, that loss ended in controversy as Jones was disqualified for landing illegal 12-6 elbow strikes on Matt Hamill. “Bones” was considered to be dominating the fight up until the DQ call.
