Jonathan Di Bella: “I’m going to take what’s mine!”

ONE 162 is scheduled to go down on Friday, October 21 at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In the main event of the evening, undefeated Italian Canadian striking sensation, Jonathan Di Bella makes his promotional debut against “Fighting Rooster” Zhang Peimian, as the pair vie for the vacant strawweight kickboxing title.

Discussing the upcoming opportunity at hand, Di Bella expresses how much it will mean to not only him, but also his family and entire team to accomplish a lifelong goal of being the world champion.

“It means the world to us and I can’t wait to take it on October 21st,” Di Bella says.

“He’s very good,” Di Bella says about his upcoming opponent, Peimian.

“He’s number one in the world. He’s ranked number one. I feel like I’m the challenger and he’s the champion in this fight in my eyes because he’s number one and he’s the favorite to win this fight,” Di Bella expresses. “So, I feel the challenger and I’m going to take what’s mine,” he insists.

“I just got to go in there and do what I do and do what I do always,” Di Bella says about getting in there with the “Fighting Rooster” Permian. “This is just another day in the office and going to work, man.”

On the cusp of a bout with two of the divisions most dynamic strikers, Di Bella is ready for his time to shine in One Championship. “I believe it’s either going to be a war or its going to be a very tactical, technical fight,” he says. “We’ll see on fight night!”
