Jonavin Webb done being the nice guy, returns to CFFC

Jonavin Webb (11-2) will return to the organization where he started his professional mixed martial arts career and eventually propelled him to fight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship after an undefeated 8-0 start.

“The Spider” has agreed to a fight with Cage Fury Fighting Championships in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The announcement came via CFFC matchmaker Arias Garcia’s Facebook account.

“Happy to be home and fighting for my friends and family,” Webb told MyMMANews. “This fight isn’t for money it’s to prove a point to the big promotions to sign me. I’m done being the nice guy in the sport. I’m ready to make a statement.”

Webb’s opponent has not yet formally been announced by CFFC, however we are being told that he will face Hugh Pulley (7-3).

The only two blemishes on the New Jersey native’s pro record came via decision and under the UFC banner.  Since his departure from the UFC, Webb has won three straight including two with CFFC.  In September he fought for Legacy Fighting Alliance on their first card in Atlantic City.  10 of Webb’s 13 pro bouts have been for the CFFC brand.

CFFC 71 takes place December 14 at the Borgata Hotel and Casino. It will be the organization’s first fight card to stream live on UFC Fight Pass.
