Jornel Lugo previews his Bellator 278 fight against Danny Sabatello
Jornel Lugo is blessed.
As a man who has a lot of faith and love for Jesus Christ, Lugo views his life as one big blessing as he gets to fight for a living in a major promotion and is surrounded with a great support.
Lugo is also blessed for the opportunity that is right in front of him.
On April 22 at Bellator 278, Lugo will fight Danny Sabatello in a wild card matchup in Bellator’s bantamweight grand prix. The winner of the fight will advance to fight Leandro Higo.
Originally, neither Lugo or Sabatello were booked to compete in the grand prix, but after injuries to Sergio Pettis, James Gallagher and a few other fighters, the promotion decide to add some wild card matchups to the tournament.
Prior to his fight, Lugo spoke with MyMMANews about the opportunity of fighting in the tournament, his thoughts on the grand prix itself, keys to being active as this fight will mark his second within the last two months and his approach to training.
