MYMMANEWS FIGHTER of the Night: Jon Moxley- Jon Moxley is always down for a good fight, and in his second appearance at Bloodsport, his request was granted by the undefeated Davey Boy Smith Jr. This match was as brutal as it gets. The unstoppable force of Bloodsport, Smith Jr, dominated the fight from all cylinders, even drawing blood. What makes Moxley’s performance a standout is even amid getting destroyed, he still kept fighting back. Submission attempts, strikes, and pro-wrestling holds, Moxley was not backing down. Moxley’s heart is what carried him through this match, which at moments frustrated Smith, opening the opportunity for Moxley to launch his own offense en-route to giving Davey Boy Smith his first loss in Bloodsport competition.
MYMMANEWS FIGHT of the Night: Royce Isaacs vs. Alex Coughlin– A mirror image in both technique arsenal and mustache, Royce Isaacs and Alex Coughlin put on an excellent match for the fans. These two are a perfect match for each other, and coming off a loss from last week at Bloodsport 5, you can tell by watching the fight, they were both hungry to capture the win. Each competitor’s technique was identical. Each man’s attack was met with a counter-attack. As a fan, these battles are always enjoyable because of the suspense element, wondering what each fighter’s next move will be and who will emerge victoriously.
MYMMANEWS FINISH of the Night: Jeff Cobb’s Full Nelson Neck Crank- Cobb is known as the Human Suplex Machine. However, in his match tonight with Tom Lawlor, he unveiled a submission sector to his unique Suplex System. The concluding moments of the battle looked as if Cobb was going to finish his opponent with his trio set of Suplexes. Scouting Cobb’s strategy, Lawlor blocked the third Suplex attempt by applying an armlock. However, Cobb had a counter, as he faked the Suplex and transitioned to a full nelson neck crank, which set the stage to force the UFC veteran to tap from the immense neck pain.
