Josh Koscheck Bellator debut delayed again; Lima steps in
Former UFC star Josh Koscheck will have to wait once more to make his long-awaited Bellator MMA debut.
The former Ultimate Fighter season 1 contestant left the UFC in 2015 and was signed to Bellator MMA. Koscheck was scheduled to rematch Paul Daley this summer. Koscheck’s first Bellator MMA bout against Matt Secor earlier this year after Kos pulled out due to injury. After he healed up, Koscheck was then scheduled to fight Daley.
The two were supposed to rematch this coming July 16 at Bellator 158 in London, England. That fight is now scratched as Koscheck pulled out a second time for undisclosed reasons.
The two first fought in the UFC back in 2010 and controversy stirred as Daley threw a punch at Koscheck after the final bell sounded. As a result, UFC President Dana White put a ban on Daley, removing him from the UFC roster.
Douglas Lima will now fight Daley in place of Koscheck.
Second of Two Major Blows to Bellator 158 card
Also, the Bellator 158 card suffered another major setback last night as Kevin Ferguson, AKA Kimbo Slice passed away. Slice was to rematch James Thompson on the card.
