Joshua Pacio and Jarred Brooks set for ONE 158
The next title defense for strawweight champion Joshua Pacio is now set as Jarred Books at ONE 158 on June 3. The news was broken by Sports Illustrated today and later confirmed by Brooks on Instagram.

Joshua Pacio is one of the best fighters in ONE Championship’s strawweight divison. Going into ONE 158, Pacio is 8-1 in his last nine beating names like Pongsiri Mitsatit, Rene Catalan, Alex Silva and avenging his only loss in that run against Yosuke Saruta.
Since his loss, Pacio has looked phenomenal with four wins, three by finish. He got revenge on Saruta with a knee, beat Catalan with an arm triangle, and won the trilogy with Saruta with a first round finish in his last fight.
He takes on Jarred Brooks who has been gunning for Pacio for some time. But his win in his last fight at ONE 157 against Bokang Masunyane. Brooks dominated Bokang and won by rear naked choke in round one. In his post fight, he called for Pacio and told the camera and Pacio that he was coming for him.
Brooks is one of the most seasoned veterans in ONE Championship. In addition to his 3-0 run in ONE, he has wins in Bellator and the UFC. Most notably, Brooks went tooth and nail with Deiveson Figueiredo in 2017. Now, Brooks looks to fulfill his prophecy and become champion.
ONE 158 is on June 3rd and the full card will be announced in coming days. But for now, Pacio and Brooks are two of the best in the world and a title fight between the two will be fireworks. As always, ONE Championship is bringing fantastic fights across MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing and grappling.
