Julia Avila previews her UFC Vegas 22 fight against Julija Stoliarenko
Julia Avila is looking to climb the ranks of the women’s bantamweight division and next week she has a chance to put herself into a prime position to do so.
Avila (8-2) will fight Julija Stoliarenko (9-4-2) at UFC Vegas 22 next Saturday. The fight is important to Avila as she comes into the fight ranked No. 15 in the world according to the official UFC bantamweight rankings. A win would likely give Avila the opportunity to fight someone ranked in front her.
Prior to the fight, Avila spoke to MyMMANews about her matchup with Stoliarenko and her current position within the division.
Aside from discussing her first scheduled fight of 2021, Avila also talked about her last fight against Sijara Eubanks. After having several fights not come to fruition in 2020, Avila made the decision to fight Eubanks on one weeks notice in June and lost the fight by unanimous decision.
You can hear everything Avila had to say by watching her full interview in the video above.
