Julian Erosa previews his upcoming fight against Hakeem Dawodu at UFC 279

Julian Erosa has once again found a surge in his career.

Erosa started his professional MMA career 15-2 and found himself on the massive UFC 196 card which was headlined by UFC superstars Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz.

Unfortunately for Erosa, he lost his fight that night to Teruto Ishihara and would have to compile a 7-2 record just to get back inside of the octagon.

His next stint in the octagon didn’t fair much better. Erosa dropped three straight fights to Devonte Smith, Grant Dawson and Julio Arce and was cut by the promotion.

After another win outside of the UFC, Erosa found himself back with the promotion and this time things really started to click. Since rejoining the UFC in 2020, Erosa has piled up a record of 4-1 record including three of wins coming by way of a stoppage.

Now Erosa plans on making a statement at UFC 279 when he fights Hakeem Dawodu and Erosa hopes that a win will get him a ranking next to his name.

Prior to the fight, Erosa spoke with MyMMANews about his matchup with Dawodu, his recent surge and training at Xtreme Couture. You can watch his full interview in the video above.
