Julian Erosa says 3 fight losing streak turned him into a “desperate man”

Julian Erosa is on his third stint with the promotion, and has ensured it will be to stay this time around. Erosa has won two straight in the UFC, while on a three fight winning streak. The Contender Series veteran is on a roll that he is looking to continue for quite some time.

“It can be discouraging to lose multiple fights in a row,” Erosa stated. “Before that skid in the UFC I’d never lost two in a row. It can be very discouraging. Especially getting back in the UFC, my second turn in the UFC, was super disappointed. It turned me into a desperate man, a do or die, that Sean Woodson fight I was willing to die in there,” Erosa continued. “I’m hungrier than I’ve ever been, I almost drive myself insane overworking myself. I’ve been lucky, a lot of guys have a tough time getting into the UFC,  never mind getting three shots.”

Erosa will test himself against South Korea’s Seung Woo Choi who is coming off a massive win over Youssef Zalal.  Coming off two wins in a row, and a collection of cancellation bouts in 2020, Woo Choi is looking to add to his own resume. Erosa believes Choi will come with loads of pressure.

“I expect Seung Woo Choi to pressure me from the bell,” Erosa told MyMMANews. “It seems like he’s one of those guys who likes to pressure. He’s got good striking, a kick boxing striking. I like to pressure too, we will see who is able to control the cage early on. I’m one of those guys who doesn’t fade,” Erosa continued. “The Sean Woodson fight is a good example. Pressured me pretty good early on with his striking, I was able to absorb a lot of his damage, to last, then I found my footing and starting breaking him.”
