Junior Dos Santos to fight Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 252
Another heavyweight fight has been added to the UFC 252 lineup as former champ Junior Dos Santos will fight fellow top contender Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Combate, a Brazilian MMA news outlet, was first to report the news.
Junior Dos Santos (21-7) is coming off back-to-back TKO losses to Curtis Blaydes and Francis Ngannou. His last win came in March 2019, when he picked up a TKO win over Derrick Lewis.
Rozenstruik (10-1) is also coming into the fight coming off of a loss. Last month at UFC 249, he suffered the first loss of his career by being knocked out in 20 seconds by Ngannou. Prior to the loss, he had one his first four UFC fights, including wins over Alistair Overeem and Andrei Arlovski.
UFC 252 will take on Aug. 15 and the event does not have a location as of this time. The event will be headlined by a trilogy heavyweight title fight between champion Stipe Miocic and former two-division champion Daniel Cormier.
