Justin Jaynes to make quick turnaround and face Gavin Tucker on Aug. 8
Justin Jaynes is back already. Fresh off an impressive eye opening debut, the 30-year-old will now face Gavin Tucker in a featherweight bout on Aug. 8. Bloody Canvas was first to report the news.
Jaynes (16-4) made the best of his octagon debut by knocking out Frank Camacho in 41 seconds on June 20. The win earned Jaynes a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus. Jaynes will come into the fight on a five-fight winning streak.
Tucker (11-1) was supposed to fight Billy Quarantillo in April, but the fight was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be Tucker’s fourth fight in the UFC. He won his debut in 2017 against Sam Sicilia. Since then lost to Rick Glenn and beat Seung Woo Choi.
The UFC’s Aug. 8 card will take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The current fight card is listed below.
