Kamaru Usman vs Colby Covington
The welterweight division is in a rich vein of form with many of the leading fighters in the UFC in the division. Kamaru Usman recently ended the lengthy winning run of Woodley to claim the belt at UFC 235. This meant he became the first African UFC Champion, which is an incredible achievement. An altercation with the brash talking Colby Covington has followed, which all but sets up for the pair to meet later this year. The 31 year old known as ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ is the current UFC Welterweight Champion following his dominant decision victory over Woodley. Colby Covington
One of the most controversial fighters in the UFC who continues to gather attention with his brash talking and actions outside the ring is Colby Covington. The 31 year old fights out of the highly successful American top team and is another with a very impressive professional record. He is currently 14-1 with his only defeat coming back in 2015 at UFC 194. Since then he has continued to improve and has also beaten a number of the top names that Usman has defeated in Maia and Rafael dos Anjos.
Covington is currently a best priced 12/5 for this contest and his fighting style is similar to Usman, so it would be a very interesting contest between two stars of the welterweight division.
