Katharina Dalisda has chance to become most successful female fighter in OKTAGON MMA history

Following a record-breaking show that made history last November, OKTAGON MMA return to Germany this coming weekend ahead of a huge year for the leading European promotion in the country. OKTAGON 53 take place inside Rudolf Weber-Arena, Oberhausen, on Saturday, February 10, and platforms a host of top talent from the region. An important rematch for the strawweight title goes down in the main event and the promotional debut of a hot prospect also features on the card.In the evening’s headliner, the first ever OKTAGON MMA champion from Germany, Katharina Dalisda (10-3), defends her belt for the first time against #1 ranked strawweight, Eva Dourthe (8-5), in a rematch. The pair first met back in 2021 and it was Dalisda who picked up a unanimous decision victory on that occasion. Dourthe hasn’t lost since that meeting and secured her shot at the championship by defeating Chiara Penco last December. The Frenchwoman hopes she can even the score in their sporting rivalry this Saturday, picking up gold in the process while ‘Tigress’ can become the most successful female athlete ever in the organisation if she can extend her winning streak to six.The highly anticipated promotional debut of lethal finisher, Islam Dulatov (9-1), occurs in the co-main event. One of the biggest rising talents in the country will face ‘Greek Emperor’, John Palaiologos (20-12-1), at welterweight. Palaiologos is no stranger to travelling into Germany and upsetting a local superstar as he submitted Christian Jungwirth in September. Can the 36-year-old silence the crowd once again or will Dulatov live up to all the hype and take out the toughest test of his career to date?

In another feature bout, surging welterweight, Miroslav Brož (16-3-1), squares off with debuting Englishman, Tom Crosby (8-3-1), where a finish will be very likely. Furthermore, talented grappler, Hojat Khajevand (7-3), clashes with the returning David Zawada (18-9), fresh off a stint with the PFL, in an important middleweight contest.Elsewhere on the card, former Glory kickboxer, Cihad Akipa (6-1), drops down to welterweight to meet Croatian veteran, Ivica Trušček (42-39). Exciting strikers will throw down when Jan Malach (15-14) goes against Gökhan Aksu (11-6-1) at lightweight and Jaroslav Pokorný (16-10) looks to take Shem Rock off his mind for one evening when he faces promotional newcomer, Gjoni Palokaj (7-3), in a featherweight matchup.

OKTAGON 53 will be broadcast live on OKTAGON.TV internationally as well as worldwide on the global platform, DAZN, in all markets except from CZ/SK/DE. In Germany, the event will be available exclusively on PPV. Fans in the UK/Ireland can tune in on Channel 4 and RMC Sport will broadcast the event for viewers in France. The action begins at 5pm GMT/6pm CET/12pm ET/9am CT.
