On Thursday night, Kelvin “The Mama’s Boy” Tiller officially arrived as a Mixed Martial Artist. The Professional Fighters League heavyweight defeated three-time NCAA wrestling All-American, Jared Rosholt (16-5). Tiller submitted Rosholt in the second-round at PFL 4 on Long Island, N.Y. at the NYCB Live Nassau Coliseum. Tiller fought Rosholt on the undercard which aired at 6:10 PM on Facebook Watch. The main card followed at 9 PM on NBC Sports Network.

Tiller (10-1) scored his second finish in the PFL regular-season Thursday night at PFL 4. The heavyweight from Topeka, Kansas is known as a striker but displayed to the world he’s capable of defeating high-level grapplers. Rosholt wrestled out of Oklahoma State University where he was a three-time All-American wrestler.

In the second-round, Tiller defended a takedown by the former Cowboy with a submission attempt. The Midwest Combat Academy fighter tightened his grip around Rosholt’s neck and squeezed as he fell to the canvas. Tiller earned the impressive Guillotine submission attempt at 0:54 in round two.

In the post-fight media scrum, Tiller mentioned how important the support of his mother and ill sister has been and how motivating they are to him. The confident young man believes in himself and after the regular-season, Tiller is seeded number two in the PFL playoffs.

Nine of Tiller’s ten wins come by way of TKO or submission. His only loss came at the hands of the judges’. Tiller is a finisher inside the cage and doesn’t leave anything for chance. After his first two wins inside the PFL cage, by way of first-round knockout and second-round submission, Tiller has gone from unknown to well-known overnight.
