Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson is the most anticipated fight in the UFC in 2018 and the excitement is getting close to boiling point as UFC 223 gets closer. The two MMA fighters have been scheduled to fight each other three times before but each time it has fallen through. The last time was due to Khabib missing weight and the fighter ended up in a hospital trying to cut too much weight. Fans around the world will be praying that this time around it goes ahead as it is a clash of titans that we all need to see.
Even though Ferguson holds the interim title it is Khabib who is the favorites with the bookies. After Nurmagomedov destroyed Edson Barboza in his last fight at UFC 223 he looked like no one on planet earth could stop him. Never before in the octagon have we seen such brutal ground and pound so it is no surprise to those in the know to see him the bookies favorite at -260.
Ferguson is priced at around +200 with most bookmakers. You may as well gamble on an online casino like Casumo.com though. “El Cucuy” is on the longest winning streak in the division and has won his last 10 fights in the octagon.
What makes this fight so interesting is the fact that Khabib is the best in the UFC at ground and pound and Ferguson is One of the best fighters from off their back. Expect El Cucuys brutal elbows to come into play at some point in the title decider and if he managed to get hold of his famous darce choke it could be game over for Khabib. The odds of that however are probably non-existent and would be similar to what we have seen recently with Paul Craig Getting mauled For the entirety of the fight but somehow pulling off a last-second triangle submission at UFC Fight Night 127. A nice prop bet for perhaps but certainly if Ferguson is to win It will be from capitalizing on a situation such as how Michael Johnson put Khabib in when they fought.
Khabib is unbeaten in his MMA career and has won 25 fights without suffering from a single loss. What makes it even more impressive is that he has not even lost a single round and has bulldozered his way to the top. Ferguson will have a slight advantage on the feet due to his unorthodox style and his kicking is far superior to Khabib’s. That has been the case in most of his fights though and it has not made the slightest bit of difference. He simply walks through any punishment and once he gets hold of you, your going down and never getting back up.
Both fighters have unbelievable stamina so there’s a big chance that this goes to the judge’s scorecards. That is why most online gambling sites are backing Khabib to get the win because he is more likely to score big with the judges due to the number of times he will be able to take Ferguson to the ground. It is going to be the biggest fight of both fighters careers and the winner will set up a chance of a possible title decider with former Champ Conor McGregor. The Irish superstar who will be stripped of his belt due to not defending the title but is expected back by the end of 2018.Follow MyMMANews.com on Social Media
