Khamzat Chimaev eyes Nick Diaz fight to see who’s the ‘real gangster’ is

Khamzat Chimaev has been cleared to return and is calling to fight Nick Diaz.

At UFC 261, Diaz was in attendance, and UFC president, Dana White revealed he was going to meet with him to talk about a potential return. Then, reports came out that the Stockton native was offered a scrap against Chimaev, who seemingly confirmed the news on his social media.

Now, according to Chimaev, he is calling for the fight as he believes it would be a big fight for the fans. It would also be a scrap that would decide who the real gangster is.

“I want to fight with him,” Chimaev told MMA Junkie. “That will be good. I watched his fight when I was a kid, now I’m going to fight with him. Perfect for me. I like it. I want to see who is the real gangster. I think he is a real gangster in this sport, but we’ll see.”

A Chimaev vs. Diaz fight would be massive as it would Diaz’s return fight and for Chimaev, he has a ton of hype behind him after the 2020 he had. The winner would also be in line for a big fight and for the Swede, he says he’s just excited to be back and is ready to smash someone.

“I’m healthy now,” Chimaev said. “My father, my brother, they love the fight. They said, ‘If you want to fight, let’s do it.’ I said, ‘Of course I want to fight. All my life I want to fight. Why not now?’ I can make money, give help to somebody. That’s good for me. I love this sport. I love to smash somebody and make money. It’s so easy work. Go and fight? I did all my life fights, I never get money, and now I can make money with this sh*t. I love it.”
