Korean Zombie vs Dan Ige
Chan Sung Jung looks to get back into the win column after losing to Brian Ortega last time out in a lopsided decision loss last October.
Jung had a run of back-to-back wins snapped that saw him knock out both Renato Moicano and Frankie Edgar. He halted both of these reputable warriors in the opening frame.
Dan Ige was riding a six-fight winning streak prior to taking a defeat to Calvin Kattar. The rising 145 lb contender would empathically rebound from that loss though.
Dan Ige’s last performance was a sub-thirty-second victory over Gavin Tucker via knockout in March.
Korean Zombie vs Dan Ige pits the number five ranked featherweight against the number eight ranked featherweight, respectively. These numbers per UFC’s official rankings.
The aforementioned Ortega is lined up for a season coaching The Ultimate Fighter opposite reigning 145-pound champion Alexander Volkanovsi.
This ultimately creates a timeline that holds up the UFC featherweight championship for a while. Max Holloway likely waits in the wings for the winner of Ortega vs Volkanovski after months of TUF.
Jung versus Ige could the winner to a favorable point somewhere in the tier just underneath all for that action.
