KSW 83 Results – Colosseum 2 – Khalidov vs. Askham 3

KSW is set for its biggest show in years when KSW 83: Colosseum 2 takes place Saturday, June 03, 2023, inside the PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, Poland. Three championships will be on the line including the bantamweight, vacant middleweight, and lightweight titles. The main event, though, is a non-title matchup and will serve as a rubber match between KSW legend Mamed Khalidov and former champion Scott Askham. Askham has also been out of action for nearly two and a half years due to a back injury. The event will be streamed exclusively on Viaplay across certain European markets, RMC Sport in France, Combate in Brazil, and globally on KSW PPV platform www.KSWTV.com.

Co-Main Event Lightweight Title

Lightweight champion Marian Ziolkowski will meet interim champion Salahdine Parnasse in the night’s co-main event. After missing their initial scheduled meeting at KSW 76 due to a knee injury, Ziolkowski will return to action after a near one-year layoff. Parnasse would go on to meet Sebastian Rajewski and earn the interim title via fourth-round submission. The winner of this matchup could easily sit atop the division for quite some time.

Vacant Middleweight Title Match

The vacant middleweight title will be up for grabs when Pawel Pawlak (21-4-1) meets Tomasz Romanowski (18-8). The title was vacated by Roberto Soldic, who left the company, signing with ONE Championship. Pawlak is 3-0 since joining KSW and is currently on an eight-fight unbeaten streak. Romanowski has been on an impressive run of his own in KSW, earning a 6-1 record. Three of those victories have been first-round knockouts showing Romanowski can bring the heat early in the contest.
