KSW 84 Results – De Fries vs. Bajor

KSW 84: De Fries vs Bajor is set to take place on Saturday, July 15, 2023. The event will take place inside the Polsat Plus Arena in Gdynia, Poland, and will also air around the world on KSWTV. Off the heels of a very successful KSW 83, KSW will look to continue the momentum through the summer. The night’s event will center around KSW’s most dominant champion, KSW Heavyweight Champion Phil de Fries, as he faces a very tough task in Rizin and PFL veteran Szymon Bajor. Olympic wrestling medalist Damian Janikowski will also return to action as he faces Cezariusz Kesik.

Main Event

Phil de Fries (C) vs Szymon Bajor

Phil de Fries (23-6) enters Saturday’s contest on a five-year run as the organization’s heavyweight champion. He is a stellar 9-0 in KSW since joining in 2018. More impressively, seven of those nine wins have come by a finish including the last five in a row. In his most recent performance, de Fries earned a first-round knockout against UFC veteran Todd Duffee at KSW 79 in February 2023. Standing across the cage will stand a hungry opponent in former PLMMA and FEN champion, Szymon Bajor (24-9). Bajor has proven to be a dangerous finisher over his career with 20 of his career 24 wins coming by submission or KO/TKO.

Also Appearing…

Olympic medalist and fan-favorite Damian Janikowski will also appear on the card. He is currently the #8-ranked middleweight and can greatly improve his standing with a win over #6-ranked Cezariusz Kesik. This matchup can absolutely steal Fight of the Night honors. Also appearing is the #1-ranked heavyweight Darko Stosic, who can earn a title shot against the main event winner, if he can defeat Stefan Vojcak tonight. The card is scattered throughout with ranked fighters making this a must-see summer showdown.
