Kyle Daukaus talks upcoming fight, disciplined lifestyle and getting married
Kyle Daukaus is becoming a name very familiar to UFC fans.
He is the brother of the current No. 9 ranked heavyweight Chris Daukaus and he is known for winning his fights by way of a d’arce choke, which has given him the nickname “The D’Arce Knight.”
On June 18th at UFC Austin, Daukaus will make his sixth walk to the octagon and look to get closer to finally getting a ranking next to his name when he meets Roman Dolidze in a middleweight matchup.
While Daukaus has been on a great run as a professional fighter by racking up a record of 11-2, he actually struggled when he first got started in the sport.
At one point his amateur career, Daukaus held a record of 5-5. While many people would have said it wasn’t the sport for them are posting a .500 record, Daukaus wanted to continue to follow his dream of making it into the UFC.
Daukaus not only worked hard in the gym, but he lived a healthy lifestyle all 365 days of the year in order to improve and get better.
Fast forward a few years, Daukaus has now reached his goal of fighting in the sports biggest promotion and he still practices his same disciplined lifestyle that has gotten him to this point.
Now Daukaus is focused on getting a win on June 18 and chasing down his next goal of being a ranked fighter, which he hopes to achieve by the end of this year.
Prior to his fight at UFC Austin, Daukaus spoke with MyMMANews about his upcoming matchup with Dolidze, his lifestyle and recently getting married.
