Lawrence Phillips look to shine in Pro-MMA debut Saturday and then fight for ONE Championship in May

Interview with Lawrence Phillips below

Lawrence Phillips discusses his professional MMA debut against Dan Trejo (0-1) at Warrior Games 15 on Feb. 4. Lawrence also talked about working on his skillset the last six-months, what type of training camp he’s had and why he’s fighting locally instead of ONE Championship where he’s currently under contract.

“I’m grateful for it,” Phillips said in ONE Championship letting him take a local fight. “They gave me six months off to train. I felt like was needed, I need to touch up on a few things. Now I got this fight coming up this weekend, then they’re sending me out to Thailand for two fights for OneLumpinee Promotions. I’ll be out there from Feb. 20th to April 2nd. So about 5-6 week at Venom Training Center. It’s my first time going to Thailand. The goal (is fighting on ONE Championship’s U.S. card in May).”
