LFA 105

LFA 105 Features Women’s Strawweight Championship Bout

On April 23rd, LFA returns to action with LFA 105 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The card recently announced a women’s strawweight bout between Piera Rodriguez and Svetlana Gotsyk for the women’s strawweight title. The card will air live on UFC Fight Pass.

“We are excited to bring the women’s strawweight championship to Oklahoma at LFA 105,” stated LFA CEO Ed Soares. “Piera Rodriguez is the top prospect from Venezuela and Svetlana Gotsyk is the top prospect from Ukraine. This title fight made perfect sense after the belt became vacant, when our former champion Lupita Godinez signed with the UFC. The winner will become the third strawweight champion in LFA history.”

The card marks the promotions second of three events in Oklahoma in April as COVID-19 restrictions lift slowly nationwide, allowing fight promotions to get back to more regular schedules business.

Piera Rodriguez comes in to the fight with a 5-0 record. She’s at a big disadvantage as her opponent, Gotsyk, touts more than three times the fights at a 13-4 record professionally.

In addition to the women’s strawweight title, LFA has other great regional prospects on the card including Jake Childers vs. Canaan Kawaihae in the co-main event of the evening.

LFA will also have two prelim bouts that will not be broadcasted on UFC Fight Pass. But die hard fans will be able to catch that live in the LFA Facebook page.
