Liam Nolan: “’Sinsamut’… I think me and him would be a great fight.”

From London, England to traveling the world, Muay Thai fans around the world refer to Liam Nolan by his ring moniker, “Lethal.” Known for his brutal knees, piercing elbows, and incredible conditioning, Nolan’s rise to success and stardom didn’t come overnight.

Starting early, studying martial arts such as Wing Chun and Taekwondo, Nolan ultimately found his bread and butter in the realm of combat sports with the art of Muay Thai. Instantly Nolan was hooked and put his all into the art of 8 limbs.

“I was always really fascinated by martial arts,” Nolan says.

Finding consistent success within Muay Thai, Nolan would leave school at the mere age of 16 to pursue his aspirations of professional fighting. Winning the IKF British Title as well as the Roar Combat League Championship, Nolan amassed 21 pro bouts by the time he was 21 years old.

Now, signed by one of the biggest promotions in the world, ONE Championship, Nolan has his targets acquired. “Collect all the major titles. I’ve got the WMC, I’ve got the WBC,” Nolan professes. “Other than the stadium titles in Thailand…The One Championship is the one that makes sense right,” he elaborates. “So that is the one we’re going for,” he says.

“We have talks to defend my title in the UK, which is where I want to do it,” Nolan claims. “I don’t want to travel and defend it. I want to do it at home. Or back at ONE Championship and it could be a really big ONE Championship, so I won’t say too much,” Nolan cryptically says.

The guy who just fought Nieky Holzken and he knocked Nieky out, “Sinsamut” (Boonsom Klinmee). “I think me and him would be a great fight,” Nolan contends” That should be for the ONE title. Me and him should do that for the One Championship belt,” Nolan says. “There’s some talks about it so hopefully we can do that.”

Until his next fight, “Lethal” Liam Nolan has been traveling the United States, offering seminars at various Muay Thai gyms across the nation.

Nolan offered a seminar at Delaware’s only traditional Muay Thai gym, Chok Dee Athletics where I was fortunate to catch up with the One Championships sensation. We discussed what he’s Ben offering at his seminars, we discuss some of his biggest accolades in the sport, when he realized he was living his dream and when we can expect to see him next in the cage! Tune in above!
