Lin Heqin on 2022 schedule and Bi Nguyen bout at ONE: Bad Blood
Lin Heqin garnered a victory Bi Nguyen via unanimous decision at ONE: Bad Blood. This transpired on February 11th and the pugilistic proceedings emanated from Singapore Indoor Stadium.
This mixed martial arts contest took place on the lead card portion of the show.
Heqin returned to the win column and showcased sharp striking en route to beating one of the more tenured, accomplished ONE Championship atomweights in Bi Nguyen.
Heqin’s unanimous decision loss to Ritu Phogat last July at ONE: Battleground is more in the rearview. There’s now a clearer picture ahead for her to climb up that atomweight hierarchy,
I spoke to Lin Heqin at the post-event virtual media day. Excerpts from our interaction are below.
Lin Heqin
If there was an ideal amount of fights Heqin would like to take this year
“Hey man, I want the belt so bad. So of course I want to fight Angela Lee because I think she got the belt for such a long time. I believe this is my time to win a belt.”
The video going around of Bi Nguyen saying “I don’t know how much more of this I can do”; maybe hinting at retirement. In the context of how Heqin would feel if she did end up being the final opponent of Bi Nguyen’s career.

Lin Heqin said, “Yes, everyone knows that on the media day. That Bi (Nguyen) said that it’s gonna be a very easy victory. But tonight proved that I’m the winner. Tonight belongs to me. So I don’t want to trash talk her because all the days in my training camp. Preparing for this fight, I have so much and so strong confidence in myself. So I definitely know I will win tonight. So yeah, just you guys see how strong I am tonight.”
