Lisa Verzosa (5-1) discusses her bantamweight fight against Raquel Canuto (6-6) Invicta FC 42 on September 17. Lisa also spoke about the cut she suffered that went viral at Invicta FC: Phoenix Series 3, turning her living room into training space and why she’d rather fight for the Invicta title next instead of Contender Series. The 24-year-old believes with Julija Stoliarenko now in the UFC, a vacant title shot is likely next for her.
“I’m looking for another title shot because obviously Julia went to the UFC so it’s vacant again. After this fight, I’d like to go for the Invicta FC belt again. Probably Taneisha Tennant (is next for the title) because she won the Invicta FC Phoenix Series.”
