In the latest addition to the SFLC Podcast, I was able to sit down with regular guest, Lou Giordano of Loutrition and Genevieve Ashworth of GigiEatsCelebrities out of Los Angeles, Calif., to review UFC flyweight contender Ray Borg pulling out of the Demetrious Johnson title fight and the termination of Borg’s weight specialist.
Ashworth and Giordano discuss healthier approaches to the sport of MMA, Celebrity diets and how the two world’s blend to promote a safer and more long-term approach to weight management.
Ashworth, M.A. Nutrition Communications and Science from Tufts University, has been working in L.A. discussing and blogging about celebrity diets and the waning fads that exist in the industry. (www.gigieatscelebrities.com)
Giordano has been enlisted by professional MMA fighters throughout his career promoting positive weight management and helping UFC fighters make weight for upcoming fights.
The two had several similar sentiments on how the world of celebrities and top-tier athletes can learn from each other and the do’s-and-dont’s about keeping a healthy lifestyle, as well as weight.
