Lucas LaRue starts career with authority, right back to work

Interview with Lucas LaRue below:

I have been following the path of Lucas LaRue since I was in attendance covering his first amateur kickboxing event about eight years ago for MyMMANews.  LaRue is now a 2-0 professional fighter, and the future looks very promising for the skilled welterweight.  Lucas is originally from Pennsylvania and had the courage to pack up what he had, move to Florida several years ago. He crashed at a friend’s, got a job and found a home at The Jungle MMA and Fitness in Orlando.

The Jungle MMA fight team continues to grow and LaRue is right in the middle of that as he is now a full-time coach and is in the gym on a daily basis.  Nothing could make him happier. I remember the excellent footwork and technical striking I saw from a debut fighter who impressed me and now my man is on his way to big things.

Lucas took his time and showed lots of patience while fighting as an amateur and now his move to the professional ranks couldn’t have started much better.  LaRue has finished both of his opponents in the first round via KO/TKO.  He’s won with authority and remains very humble about it as we reached out to him to see how he was feeling about the quick start and the rest of 2024.  He tells MyMMANews

“I felt the most focused and comfortable in the cage that I’ve been.  I was able to get in almost double the time in from my debut, so just getting locked in.  Now we’re just going to try to keep the ball rolling.  Try to get in camp soon and do it again, hopefully July.”

Please check out our interview on the link above.  For your enjoyment, I also posted the full video of his latest finish.

Lucas is a big-time student of the game and is always scheming and working on his own system.  A very smart dude. Follow us right here for any upcoming fight news on Lucas LaRue.
