Ludovit Klein out, Jim Miller now faces Jared Gordon at UFC on ESPN 46
Jim Miller returns to the UFC octagon early next month at UFC on ESPN 46, though he’s just been given a replacement in opponent, as his original opponent Ludovit Klein withdrew from the contest due to an illness yesterday on May 19.
Miller now faces Jared Gordon at this event, which is to go down on June 3, 2023, live from the UFC Apex in Enterprise, Nevada.
Miller just had his three-fight finish streak snapped by Alexander Hernandez earlier this year in February, and he’s looking to get back to his winning ways next month with a victory.
Should Miller be victorious in this encounter, he will extend his records of the most wins in UFC history, which he has 24 now, and he’ll extend his record for most wins in UFC lightweight history, as he has 21 at the time of this being written. He also has the most fights in UFC history (41), as well as the most fights in UFC lightweight history (38), both records of which will also be extended regardless of whether he wins or not.
Klein has gone 2-0-1 through his latest four appearances, while Gordon is coming off a no contest against Bobby Green last month in April. Prior to that, Gordon had gone 4-2 over his last six, though many believe he should be 5-1 in those six fights, as his unanimous decision defeat to Paddy Pimblett was incredibly controversial.
Both of these talents are true grinders with good striking and superb grappling skills.
Who do you see coming out on top in this lightweight affair going down at UFC on ESPN 46?
