L’udovit Klein shines in UFC debut, demolishes Shane Young in 1
The second stint of “Fight Island” kicks off with UFC 253 tonight, Saturday, Sept. 26.
Headlining the pay-per-view event is a battle of undefeated fighters in UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya and the surging Paulo Costa. The first of two title fights takes place in the co-main event as Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz look to claim the vacant UFC light-heavyweight championship.
In a featured prelim featherweight bout, Shane Young was set to take on Nate Landwehr. After a positive Covid-19 test from Landwehr, he was forced to withdraw from the scheduled bout. Taking his place on short notice will be Slovakian native, L’udovit Klein. Klein holds an impressive record of 16-2 and is currently riding a 7 fight win streak with 6 of his 7 wins coming via stoppage.
Shane Young made quite the impression when he performed a ceremonial Haka when the two competitors faced each other for their staredown. Although Young hasn’t competed in over a year and a half but will be entering his 4th bout within the UFC.

Round 1:
A slight feeling out process between both fighters before both exchange kicks. The fighters continue Klein lands a stiff jab, followed by a rear leg head kick that wobbles Young. Klein lands a crisp right uppercut-left hook-right uppercut combo that drops Young to the floor. Klein follows his prey to the mat for some ground and pound finishing touches before the referee has seen enough and steps in.
