Sanctioned by the World Kickboxing Association, Gut Check has a long-lasting legacy for its fair matchmaking with explosive fights to match the crowds’ energy.
In a 135lb title bout, Luke Marshall of Jai Singh Muay Thai will take on Johnny Wunder of Algeo MMA.
“I think our strengths and weaknesses kind of pair well with each other,” Marshall says about his upcoming bout. “Like, it will be a good back and forth. I have seen his fights and I’m sure he’s seen my fights,” he follows.
Although Marshall knows he can’t and shouldn’t delve into an endless YouTube browser of Wunder’s past bouts. “I can’t expect him to be the same,” Marshall says. “I know his style and I know generally what he’s going to come with,” He elaborates. “I think I have answers for his weapons,” Marshall cryptically says.
Predicting, “I’m pretty confident that it will be a late-round knockout…Late fourth or fifth-round knockout. That’s what I believe.”
Gut Check Championship Series will go down this Saturday, March 26, live at the PAL Center of Hockessin, DE. For those who can’t be in attendance, be sure to catch the live broadcast via Fight Club Radio PPV by visiting FCLTV.com
