Mackenzie Dern dominant in MMA debut at Legacy FC 58
The world’s best female Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, Mackenzie Dern, made her long awaited mixed martial arts debut tonight and was dominant from bell to bell throughout three full rounds.
Dern would score a unanimous decision victory (30-27, 30-26, 30-25) over Kenia Rosas who survived submission attempt after submission attempt.
The fight broadcast live on AXS TV and was held in Lake Charles, La at Legacy FC 58.
While Dern was super impressive in transitioning from competitive BJJ to BJJ for MMA, Rosas’ heart and determination was equally impressive as she battled out of many close calls and weathered the storm of Dern’s ground and pound.
