Marlon Moraes discusses his upcoming fight against Brendan Loughnane

Marlon Moraes has been on a tough streak, and he is aware of that as he heads into the upcoming PFL season.

At one point Moraes was a feared man in the UFC’s bantamweight division. In fact, he knocked out current UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling.

After starting his UFC career 5-1, Moraes fought for the bantamweight title and then things started to get tough for Moraes.

He lost his title shot to Henry Cejudo, then won a controversial decision to Jose Aldo and then lost four in a row to Cory Sandhagen, Rob Font, Merab Dvalishvili and Song Yadong.

Following the tough ending to his UFC career, Moraes signed with the PFL and in his debut with the promotion he was knocked out by Sheymon Moraes in a featherweight bout to give him five straight losses.

All of that is now behind Moraes.

2023 marks a new year and Moraes is a believer that one win can turn things around.

Everyday Moraes trains hard and he’s looking to remind the world that he’s still a tough night out for any fighter in the world and is anticipating a deep PFL season run as he looks to chase down the featherweight title and a million-dollar payday.

First up on the run will be last year’s featherweight champion Brendan Loughnane in the main event of 2023 PFL 1.

Prior to the event, Moraes spoke with MyMMANews about his matchup with Loughnane, the upcoming PFL season and his mindset coming off a few tough outings in his career.
