A pair of seasoned mixed martial arts Veterans will headline Maverick MMA’s first fight card of the new year.
Fight promoter Willy Sisca is bringing Maverick MMA 5 to the Econo Lodge in Allentown, PA, and plans to have at least two other pro title bouts on the card as well. The other two title fights are currently awaiting final contract signatures and should be announced in the coming days. (MyMMANews has been sworn to secrecy so you will have to check back).
Hamill (13-8) became well known in the mixed martial arts community when he appeared as a competitor on season 3 of the Ultimate Fighter. Hamill, the first ever deaf athlete to compete in the UFC, stayed with the organization from 2006 until 2013. While with the promotion he fought the likes of famed former champions Tito Ortiz, Michael Bisping, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, and Rich Franklin. He is also the only man to date to hold a victory over former champion Jon Jones.
“Crazy” Mucitelli (7-3, 1 NC) is returning to MMA for the first time since October 2015. He fought for Bellator MMA in 7 of his 10 professional bouts.
