Our thoughts and prayers go out to UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes and his family. Reports are coming in that Hughes was involved in a serious accident that has resulted in head trauma.
According to ESPN.com’s Brett Okamoto, UFC president Dana White provided the details and said the following regarding Hughes’ status: “Apparently he has head trauma. His family is traveling to him now.”
Hughes was airlifted to the hospital Friday after a truck he was in collided with a moving train.
Hughes is a former two-time UFC welterweight champion and retired from mixed martial arts with a professional record of 45-9.Follow MyMMANews.com on Social Media
