Maverick MMA Open Workouts and Press Conference at Reebok Outlet

The newly formed mixed martial arts promotion Maverick MMA, in cooperation with the Reebok Outlet at the Crossings Premium Outlets in Tannersville, Pennsylvania, held an open workout and press conference earlier today in support of the organization’s upcoming first card to be held on April 7.

Fight promoter Willy Sisca announced the organization’s formation in January and will feature both amateur and professional MMA contests.

UFC welterweight George Sullivan was the first to hit the mats and put on a show for the fans and media in attendance.  While Sullivan is obviously under contract with the UFC and will not be fighting for Maverick MMA, he was there in support of his longtime friend Sisca, and spoke with MyMMANews in an exclusive interview to be released later this week.

Maverick MMA headliner Scott Heckman, as well as featured fighters Rick Nuno, Tim Kunkel, also participated in the workouts and participated in pre-fight interviews and face offs.
