Michael Chiesa vs. Sean Brady on tap for November UFC event
An intriguing welterweight bout between top-15 ranked fighters Michael Chiesa and Sean Brady is reportedly on tap for a November UFC event.
ESPN was the first to report the Chiesa vs. Brady fight, which is set to take place on November 20.

Chiesa (18-5) is the No. 7 ranked welterweight in the UFC. The 33-year-old American won TUF 15 back in 2012 and since then he has been a perennial contender in the UFC lightweight and now the UFC welterweight divisions. Since moving up to 170lbs full time in 2018, Chiesa is 4-1 with wins over Rafael dos Anjos, Neil Magny, Carlos Condit, and Diego Sanchez. His lone loss in the division came against Vicente Luque, who defeated Chiesa via submission back at UFC 265 in August.
Brady (14-0) is the No. 13 ranked welterweight in the UFC. The 28-year-old American joined the UFC in 2018 and he has gone a perfect 4-0 since then with wins over Jake Matthews, Christian Aguilera, Ismail Naurdiev, and Court McGee. Brady was scheduled to fight Kevin Lee this summer but the fight fell through when Brady pulled out with an injury. However, UFC president Dana White had nothing but good things to say about the young prospect ahead of the matchup, calling the up-and-coming star an “absolute stud.”
Look for competitive betting odds in this Chiesa vs. Brady fight. Despite Chiesa being the higher-ranked fighter, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Brady as the favorite here given he is undefeated and the younger fighter. That being said, this is a big step up in competition, so you can’t count Chiesa totally out, either.
