Sean Brady submits Jake Matthews in dominant performance at UFC 259

Dana White praises Sean Brady ahead of Kevin Lee fight at UFC 264: “Absolute stud”

UFC president Dana White praised welterweight prospect Sean Brady ahead of the Kevin Lee fight at UFC 264, calling him an “absolute stud.”

Brady is currently the No. 13 ranked welterweight in the UFC and he faces off against the biggest test of his career to date when he takes on Lee in July on the undercard of the Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier 3 pay-per-view on July 10. Just 28 years of age, Brady already has a perfect 14-0 in MMA including a 4-0 mark in the UFC. He has been absolutely running through everyone in his path thus far, and a win over Lee would likely land him an opponent in the top-10 in his next fight.

Speaking to Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports ahead of UFC 264, White was asked about what he thinks of Brady, and the UFC president had nothing but good things to say about the youngster.

“Absolute stud, and obviously that’s a huge test for him,” White said of Brady. “That should be a very, very fun fight, man.”

Brady has shown tremendous skills in the Octagon so far as he’s beaten Jake Matthews and Christian Aguilera by submission in addition to winning decisions over Ismail Naurdiev and Court McGee. The Philadelphia native appears to be a future contender in the UFC welterweight division based on the way he’s performed thus far in the Octagon, and we will find out more about him this summer when he takes on Lee.

Though beating Lee won’t earn Brady a title shot in the stacked UFC welterweight division, it would still be a big name on his resume and could land him a top-10 opponent the next time he steps in the cage. All he has to do now is go out there and perform at UFC 264 and show White and the rest of the UFC executives that he truly is as good as they think he is.

How far do you think Sean Brady can go in the UFC?
