Mike Gonzalez of Silver Fox BJJ poised and prepared…looks for second win at ROC 67

I was on hand to witness the professional debut of Mike Gonzalez back in September at Ring of Combat 65.   His poise and purpose was impressive as his transition game was very strong in taking the back of Mario Hernandez and finishing him in round 2.  It looked as if he had a game plan and the fight played out exactly as he thought.  Mike says his strength is his ability to adapt.

Coming up in Atlantic City on February 22, at the Louis Neglia and Dead Serious production, Ring of Combat 67, Gonzalez  (1-0) will enter the cage looking to earn his second victory as he matches up with Paul Grant.  Grant is 3-4 but two of his losses are to UFC fighter Merab Dvalishvili and CES bantamweight champion Tony Gravely.

Please listen to my interview with Mike in the link below.  He is a focused young man who takes pride in his study and mental part of the game just as much as the physical.  Gonzalez tells us how he fell in love with mixed martial arts and who his mentors are as well as a scouting report on his upcoming bout w Grant.

MyMMANews will be cageside at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino Showroom for live results and photos.  The fight card from Louis Neglia is looking stacked as usual.
