Miranda Granger excited for UFC return at UFC Vegas 59
Miranda Granger is officially back in the fight game.
The Washington state native hasn’t fought since November of 2020 as she has spent the last year and a half experiencing motherhood for the first time.
Her daughter Austin Layne Barish was born on Aug. 19 of 2021 and while nearly a year has pasted since the birth of her daughter, Granger wanted to make sure she didn’t rush back to the octagon before she was ready.
As Granger told MyMMANews in an interview just before Christmas, she started working with Brianna Battles, who is a pregnancy and postpartum coach and helped Granger stay in shape during her pregnancy and now has been helping Granger return back into fight shape.
After working with Battles and her home gym of Charlie’s Combat Club, Granger decided she is finally ready to return to the octagon and she will do so at UFC Vegas 59 on Aug. 6 when she takes on Cory McKenna.
Prior to the fight, Granger once again spoke with MyMMANews about her return to the octagon, feeling a spark in energy during camp and life as mom. You can watch her full interview in the video above.
