MMA returns to the Chattanooga Convention Center this weekend for B2FS 137

“When B2 comes to Chattanooga, we look forward to showing the fans the top B2 Fighters!” commented Greg P. Bell, B2Digital CEO and Founder to globenewswire.com.  B2FS 137 will feature 12 bouts consisting of both professional and amateur fighters.

The event takes place Saturday, October 23. It hosts an action-packed lineup featuring some of the region’s top talent.  Following an incredible show in Jackson, MI, the card is headlined by the 5 round main event, featuring former UFC fighter Dan Stittgen (12-7) and top Georgia welterweight Robert Hale (9-5).

A veteran UFC and Bellator fighter headlines the main event.

Many eyes will be on the UFC and Bellator veteran Stittgen as he rides a three-fight losing streak.  Stittgen of Illinois will rely on his experience making his overall twentieth walk to the cage.  Many will remember Stittgen’s UFC debut as superstar Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson knocked him out via right roundhouse head-kick in the first round.  Thompson was 57-0 as a professional kickboxer before the match-up with Stittgen.

Georgia on My Mind.

Hale, of Georgia, will have many eyes upon him.  Currently, the number one ranked Welterweight in the state of GA; Hale will be looking to start his B2FS career with an impressive win over an experienced fighter.  With the B2FS Welterweight title currently up for grabs, a win here could potentially allow Hale to sneak into the top 10 of the 170 lb. division.

There are many more intriguing match-ups throughout the entire evening.

The main event will surely raise people to their feet; however, I’m anxiously waiting for the match between rising amateurs Quinton Sims (3-1) and Frank Townser (4-2).

Sims, of Tennessee, is coming off of a second-round TKO win via strikes at Valor Fighting Challenge 86.  Townser of Florida is looking to improve to 2-0 with the B2FS and has recently earned a victory at Island Fights 68 via a first-round rear-naked choke.  The Bantamweights have been highly active in 2021, equaling a total of 10 fights combined.

Another intriguing match-up will occur at Featherweight, where Elijah Brantley (5-3) and Arthur Mpofu (3-2) will be meeting for the second time in two months.

Brantley, out of Alabama, is looking to continue his win streak after dropping two in a row earlier in the year.  He is currently 1-1 fighting with the B2FS.  Out of New England, Mpofu took a significant step-up in competition while fighting Brantley but lost a controversial decision stemming from strikes after the bell via a round one finish.

Tickets are on sale, and a recap to follow.

I’ll be providing a full recap of the card shortly after the PPV.  Follow along at MyMMANews.com.
