Flyweights Montana De La Rosa and Maryna Moroz will square off at UFC’s event on Sept. 5.
Pegged as the No. 12 women’s flyweight, Montana De La Rosa won four of her last five bouts inside the octagon. The 25-year-old re-entered the win column by defeating Mara Romero Borella via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN+ 25 on Feb. 15.
It came after her first octagon defeat, a unanimous decision loss to Andea Lee at UFC on ESPN+ 12 in June 2019. After first appearing on “The Ultimate Fighter” season 26, De La Rosa won three consecutive bouts against Christina Marks, Rachael Ostovich and Nadia Kassem,
Moroz is unbeaten in her last two bouts since moving up to the flyweight division. She most recently defeated Mayra Bueno Silva by unanimous decisions at UFC on ESPN+ 28 on March 14.
The 28-year-old is 5-3 inside the octagon since signing with the promotion in 2015.
