Multiple Team Lakay fighters set for ONE: Winter Warriors II
Team Lakay is showing out in a big way at ONE: Winter Warriors II.
This is a pre-tape card that broadcasts to the world on Friday, December 17th. The bouts transpire at Singapore Indoor Stadium. Four combatants from the vaunted team that Mark Sangiao founded are set to compete in the Circle on this event.
Kevin Belingon is a former ONE bantamweight world champion who is looking to resume his winning ways after a bit of a rough skid as of late. He lost via knockout in his prior prizefight to John Lineker in November 2020 to put the Belingon losing skid at three straight fights.
The other two previous defeats were to pound-for-pound ONE Championship great/ current ONE bantamweight world champion Bibiano Fernandes.
Now number two ranked bantamweight contender Belingon looks to ward off the oncoming challenge of Kwon Won Il. Back-to-back wins inside the Circle for Il, each by way of strikes, propelled him to this magnitude of a matchup.
ONE: Winter Warriors II
Danny Kingad tests skills against Kairat Akhmetov in a bout between the number two and number four ranked flyweight contenders, respectively.
Akhmetov is a former ONE flyweight champion and Kingad fought for the same hardware. The winner of this fight positions themselves well for a future crack at the divisional hardware.
Stephen Loman is readying to make his first foray into the ONE Championship circle here. He will clash with number three ranked ONE Championship bantamweight Yusup Saadulaev; a man who has a win over reigning ONE flyweight world champion Adriano Moraes.
Loman is the Brave CF bantamweight world champion, has a multi-fight winning streak going, and last competed in November 2019.
Jhanlo Mark Sangiao, who is the son of the aforementioned founder Mark Sangiao, is a ONE Championship debutant as well. He is 3-0 so far as a professional mixed martial artist.
Sangiao will do battle here with a combatant who has twelve fights under their belt in Paul Lumihi.
