Murad Ramazanov: “My main game plan is to come and conquer – veni, vidi, vici”
ONE: Winter Warriors II features a slew of great fights and on that card tucked away is perhaps ONE Championship’s best kept secret: Murad Ramazanov. Sitting at 10-0, he takes on Zebaztian Kadestam on the main card. He looks to keep his perfect record in tact and continue to move up the middleweight division.
Murad Ramazanov at ONE Championship: Winter Warriors II
Murad Ramazanov is a stout wrestler and routinely imposes his will on his opponents. While he has a job and craft that can be violent, Ramazanov is a true martial artist at heart. In the middle of a throw, he tends to look out for his opponents well being.
“My biggest strength is my wrestling. My favorite technique is the suplex. I used it in my previous fight. However, truly to say, sometimes I feel sorry for my opponents in this throw, as they can injure their neck, so I gently land them on the scapula instead of the neck. I am trying so my opponents [don’t] get any serious injuries.”
Going into the fight with Kadestam, Ramazanov isn’t looking to simply win a fight. He’s looking for a statement. He plans to continue to improve each fight and never leave it in the hands of the judges.
“Of course, I’ve made some changes, added and removed something. Overall, I am approaching everything with greater responsibility and greater dedication. I want to be not a good fighter, [but] I want to be the best, and I want to do not just close fights, but finish them before it goes to a decision.”
As mentioned above, Murad Ramazanov doesn’t want to leave the fight in the hands of the judges. He has the warrior’s mentality and wants to leave no doubt in anyone’s mind as to who should have won the fight.
“My main game plan is to come and conquer – veni, vidi, vici, if I can say so. I want not only to finish him, I want to show a spectacular fight. And more of my game plan, you’ll see in the cage. I hope I’ll be able to show it all.”
