Nate Diaz being sought after by David Feldman of BKFC, says a Mike Perry fight would be a dream fight for fans
Now that former UFC superstar Nate Diaz is a free agent, BKFC founder David Feldman says he’s interested in signing him.
The list of potential suitors for former UFC superstar Nate Diaz who is now a free agent is continuing to grow by the day. Shortly after he fought the final deal of his UFC contract at UFC 279, Diaz made it known that he was going over to takeover another sport in the combat sports realm, with most believing that he is gearing towards a boxing match with Jake Paul.
If a boxing fight against Jake Paul doesn’t come to fruition right away, there’s a chance that Nate Diaz could be pursued by another boxing combat sport, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Speaking on the official podcast of the promotion ‘The BKFC Show‘ founder David Feldman opened up about the interest the promotion has on Diaz and then named a fight that he believes would be a dream fight for fight fans.
“I can’t tell you whether he’s coming or not, but I can tell you that we want him here at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, and we’re going to do everything we can do to get him a bare-knuckle fight.” (H/T SI MMA)
With several former UFC fighters already making the jump over to BKFC, David Feldman believes that there’s a former UFC welterweight who shares the similar “kill or be killed” fighting attitude as Nate Diaz who would make a great matchup for him, Mike Perry.
“I think that the fans would absolutely love to see, both have the same type of personality, both just guys that keep fighting, Nate Diaz vs Mike Perry would be a fan’s dream fight.”
Ahead of his final fight at UFC 279 when he defeated Tony Ferguson by fourth-round submission, Nate Diaz also announced that he would be starting his own fight promotion. Real Fight Inc. will be the name of Diaz’s promotion and will host MMA, boxing, and jiu-jitsu events, as they plan to receive their license to host events in California.
Whether it’s Real Fight Inc, a boxing fight against Jake Paul, or potentially a fight in BKFC, the options continue to grow, and they will continue for the next stop of Nate Diaz’s legendary and storied career.
