Nate Diaz hints at return after telling his coaches he will ‘be out soon’
Nate Diaz sent an Instagram post out and now many fans believe the Stockton native is entering a fight camp.
Ever since Diaz lost to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244 for the BMF title, many wondered what would be next for him. He is a fan-favorite and is only looking for big money fights, but there has been no talk of his return as of late. However, Diaz took to Instagram to tell his coach he will be out soon to train, with many fans believing that means he is entering a fight camp.
“@richardperez209 I’ll be out soon,” Diaz wrote on Instagram.
Richard Perez, of course, is Diaz’s boxing coach and someone he really only works with when he has a fight camp. Perez is located in Manteca, California with Diaz spending most of his time in Stockton.
If Diaz is indeed returning to the Octagon, who he would fight is uncertain at this time. The most obvious bout would be the trilogy with Conor McGregor. However, the Irishman is set to rematch Dustin Poirier at UFC 257, so that is out the window. Other than, a rematch with Jorge Masvidal makes sense or a fight against a big name and top-ranked opponent at lightweight or welterweight.
Nate Diaz, as mentioned, has not fought since he lost by TKO doctor stoppage to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244 for the BMF belt. Before that, he beat Anthony Pettis by decision at UFC 241 in his return to the sport after his legendary back-to-back fights with Conor McGregor. Since the bouts with McGregor, Diaz has become a massive star and has only been interested in fights against big names and that will make him the most amount of money.
For now, Nate Diaz is still on the sidelines waiting for his next fight. But, judging off this Instagram post, his return could be sooner than many expect.
