New LFA Lightweight Champion Aaron McKenzie on Standby For UFC Call

Interview with Aaron McKenzie below

New LFA lightweight champ Aaron McKenzie (11-2-1) recaps his split decision over Lucas Clay (8-1) at LFA 128 on Apr. 8. Aaron also talks about his overall performance, the Joshua Jones fight not coming to fruition, and the implications of his victory.

“I want to be in the UFC, that’s the goal, that’s always been the goal and that didn’t change on Friday night. If I have to defend (my title), I’ll do it. Most guys haven’t taken those (tough) fights. I want to know that I’m battle tested and put the work in that are hard. So, when I down in the 3rd round, I know I can survive that position. I want to be able to use that experience I have already when I make the UFC.”
