Nick Newell: ”I wanna make a run for the title”
Nick Newell is 33-years-old and has a professional MMA record of 16 wins and only 3 defeats. Newell returns Friday, March 13th at Bellator 241 live from Uncasville Connecticut at the Mohegan Sun.
I started off the interview asking Nick, what motivates you more coming off a loss or coming off a win?
”It’s all eternal. I’m so motivated right now and I have a chip on my shoulder and your learn from your mistakes and I am ready to go”
What are you looking to accomplish here at Bellator?
”I wanna make a run for the title that’s been my goal since day one and I don’t think anything else is acceptable. I got a job to do and I got to take this guy out.
How do you stay motivated to accomplish your goals and dreams?
“I’m a martial artist. I love the light’s I love the crowd and I get hungry for it and I needed a little break from it to get that fire back. I own a gym and I put that aside to focus on this fight and I’m really laser focused.”
What is it like fighting on a card during the Featherweight World Grand Prix?
“You know those guy’s are my peers obviously there great fighters and there good at what they do, and may the best man win.”
