Niko Price talks stunning come from behind win over Tim Means
Niko Price made his way back into the win column Saturday night with a stunning come back knockout of Tim “The Dirty Bird” Means.
“The Hybrid” took some big shots from Means before scoring the finish at UFC on ESPN+ 4, but how did he survive?
“A hard head” Price said on the ESPN+ post fight show.
“He (Tim Means) hit me a few times. He started getting the upper hand and I just stepped back, re-collected myself, then started, sent that one-one and then the six hit him right on the chin man.”
The “six”….. Price’s right cross would land flush and as Means fell his right leg would fold under his body weight, resulting in a broken ankle and tibula that will require surgery. A few follow up hammer fists would see the ref jump in for the stoppage.
This win was a big rebound for Price, who had built momentum after submitting George Sullivan and knocking out Randy Brown before suffering a knockout to Abdul Razak Alhassan.
“The Hybrid” has now won three of his last four fights and for his next trip into the octagon the Florida based fighter said, “I’m here to finish whoever they put in front of me, I’m here to finish whatever name toy put on my list to the top.”
